Arriving by train

Rye station is less than 5 minutes’ walk from the house. If you are coming from London, take the train from London St Pancras to Ashford (38 minutes), and then change onto the train to Rye, just 20 minutes’ away. From Paris, Lille, or Brussels, likewise change at Ashford onto the train to Rye.

Arriving by car

From London, take the A2, leading onto the M2, then leave the M2 at junction 3 and take the A229 to join the M20. Continue on the M20 to junction 10, then take the A2070 towards Lydd and Brenzett. At the Brookland roundabout, continue straight on onto the A259 to Rye.

From the M25, if travelling clockwise, exit at junction 3 onto the M20, and then continue as above. If travelling anti-clockwise on the M25, exit at junction 5 onto the M26 until you reach the M20, and then continue as above.

From Dover, take the A20 towards Folkestone, joining the M20 briefly before exiting at junction 12 towards Cheriton. At Cheriton interchange, take the third exit onto the Ashford road, then at the next roundabout take the first exit onto Bargrove. Turn right onto Station Road, then at the next roundabout take the second exit onto the A259 to Rye.

Parking

There are a number of car parks, the nearest of which is located at the Strand (at the bottom of The Mint), only 50 metres from the house. Alternatively, there are also car parks on Cinque Ports Street, Fishmarket Road, and off Rope Walk, all of which are within 5~10 minutes’ walk of the house.
